Footsteps School of Dancing was formed in January 1996. The principal of the school Mrs Deborah Price has been teaching for over 21 years and qualified with the National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD) in 1989 and has been teaching ever since.

Footsteps School of Dancing was formed to teach children from the age of 4 years up to and including adults. We teach three main types of dance, which are Ballroom, Latin and Disco/freestyle. Over the years the school has been restructured to give the best possible teaching time for all pupils that attend.

Our aim is to hold two dancing exams a year with an end of year medal giving presentation night normally held in the middle of December. This night is designed to encourage the children to perform a least one of the dances on the night. All medals and certificates are then presented to all pupils on the night for children that are still attending classes.

Over previous years the dance school has been asked to perform at various school fetes. All children are invited to dance on these special days to help improve their confidence in performing in front of the general public.

The dance school is continuously sending out documentation on events coming up within the year. All information needs to be read and sometimes returned to us with a parental signature. The school is well known for keeping all parents informed and up to date.

The dance school has a team of helpers and teachers who are Sandra, Cleo, Steve, Debbie, Donna, Louise, Sheryl, Lee, Nigel and Deborah

Regular dance school meetings are held to review procedures and other important matters that need to be discussed.
